Career Workshop – New Interactive Workshop
Calling all undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs! Would you like to have a plan for your career? Expert career consultants from the American Chemical Society will provide attendees with a host of pertinent information guaranteed to excel one’s professional development. Topics will include: strengthening your skills, setting goals, assessing oneself, exploring careers, finding your career “sweet spot,” completing an individual development plan (IDP), and more! This information session will also be an excellent way for job seekers to enhance their networking skills, free of charge!
ChemIDPTM Workshop: Planning For Your Career
Be sure to join this interactive workshop to start mapping out your career plans and learn how the ChemIDP™, ACS’s new professional development tool, can support your career planning and preparation.
This interactive career planning workshop geared towards students and postdocs will include:
- Discussion of the four critical pieces of career development, how they relate to your individual situation, and finding your career “sweet spot”
- An introduction to the new ChemIDPTM tool to help get you started on completing an individual development plan (IDP) and setting clear goals toward your desired career path.
The ACS Career Workshop will be held Wednesday, June 14 from 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and is available to all registered attendees. You must register for the workshop during conference registration. There is a $25 refundable deposit to attend the workshop. The $25 will be returned after completion of the workshop.
