Expanding Access with GC&E Virtual Registration Scholarships

Scholarships are available for students, postdocs, and faculty who would not otherwise be able to attend the GC&E Conference, and who currently attend, work for or are part of:

  1. A Minority Serving Institution, (e.g., HBCUs, TCUs, PBIs, HSIs, AANAPISIs, NASNTIs, or AANHs – see list)
  2. An institution in a country classified by the Word Bank as lower-middle-income or is in Central/South America or the Caribbean.
  3. An International ACS Student Chapter
  4. A high school/secondary school

Accepted scholars will receive free access to attend the live virtual conference taking place June 13-15, 2023, in Pacific Daylight Time (GMT -8). Scholars may also present virtually if they are accepted into the program during abstract submission.

Group Discount (In-Person)

20% Off
Groups of 5 or more faculty or 10 or more students from the same institution qualify for a group discount of 20% off the group registration. Faculty/student combinations are acceptable with a 1:2 ratio (see graphic below for a few examples of qualified groups).

The group contact (student or faculty) must first register, and once registered, they will click on the Group Registration button on the Registration Summary page. The group contact should have each attendee’s name and email available. Once registered an automatic discount will be applied to the entire registrant fee.   • All Technical Sessions: In person attendees have access to all sessions. At the conference, those sessions marked hybrid (12) may have some virtual presenters, and will also be broadcast to our virtual attendess.

  • GC&E Poster Session & Reception: Engage with in-person poster presenters while enjoying snacks and beverages. In person attendees are also welcome to join our virtual poster session held on Friday, May 24.

  • GC&E Expo and Innovation Hub: Interact with exhibitors, engage in interactive demos, and pick up your green chemistry swag!

  • Professional Development and Technical Workshops: A variety of workshops will be available throughout the conference (with a special workshop day on June 2). Certificate of completion are available.

  • GC&E Fridays: Sessions that take place fully virtually before the conference starts.

  • Opening Night Awards Ceremony: RSVP for this celebratory event that includes a plated dinner when you sign up.

  • AI Hackathon: Students and Postdocs are invited to participate in an AI Hackathon on June 2.

  • Career and Networking Reception: A dynamic event offering a blend of networking opportunities, career exploration, and skill development.

  • GC&E Social and Special Events: Daily Networking Breakfasts, Fizz and Sip, Yoga in the Garden, BIPOC Luncheon, and more.
