Student Awards

Sponsoring U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to attend and participate in the annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference. Up to four awards of up to $2,000 each are available.

Providing financial support to full-time graduate students (U.S. or international) currently conducting research in green chemistry. Two awards of $5,000 each are available.

Supporting the participation of an international undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral scholar to attend the annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference. Two awards of up to $2,000 are available.

Providing national recognition and honor for outstanding undergraduate and graduate student contributions to furthering the goals of green chemistry through research and/or studies. The award is open to both U.S. and international students. Two awards of $1,000 plus up to $1,000 in travel expenses to attend the Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference.

 This ACS Office of Sustainability/ACS GCI grant supports individuals who exemplify a commitment to sustainable science through their research, leadership, and community engagement, fostering a vibrant, inclusive network of changemakers.

The ACS GCI Pharmaceutical Roundtable provides travel grants to graduate students and postdocs accepted to the GC&E session, “Sustainability in Organic Chemistry: Special Student/Postdoc Session”. This special session highlights the research of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars across the broader, global organic chemistry community, which has the potential to impact sustainable industrial chemistry.
