Nina McClelland Memorial Award

Next Application Window: Sept. 1 – Nov. 2, 2026

Sponsoring U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to attend and participate in the annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference. Up to four awards of up to $2,000 each are available.

Heh-Won Chang PhD Fellowship in Green Chemistry

Next Application Window: Sept. 1 – Nov. 2, 2026

Providing financial support to full-time graduate students (U.S. or international) currently conducting research in green chemistry. Two awards of $5,000 each are available.

Joseph Breen Memorial Award

Next Application Window: Sept. 1 – Nov. 2, 2026

Supporting the participation of an international undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral scholar to attend the annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference. Two awards of up to $2,000 are available.

Ciba Travel Award in Green Chemistry

Next Application Window: Sept. 1 – Nov. 2, 2026

Sponsoring U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to attend and participate in the annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference. Up to four awards of up to $2,000 each are available.

Kenneth Hancock Memorial Award

Next Application Window: Sept. 1 – Nov. 2, 2026

Providing national recognition and honor for outstanding undergraduate and graduate student contributions to furthering the goals of green chemistry through research and/or studies. The award is open to both U.S. and international students. Two awards of $1,000 plus up to $1,000 in travel expenses to attend the Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference.

Sustainable Future Grants Program

 This ACS Office of Sustainability/ACS GCI grant supports individuals who exemplify a commitment to sustainable science through their research, leadership, and community engagement, fostering a vibrant, inclusive network of changemakers.

ACS GCIPR Organic Chemsitry Travel Grant

Next Application Window: January-February 2027

The ACS GCI Pharmaceutical Roundtable provides travel grants to graduate students and postdocs accepted to the GC&E session, “Sustainability in Organic Chemistry: Special Student/Postdoc Session”. This special session highlights the research of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars across the broader, global organic chemistry community, which has the potential to impact sustainable industrial chemistry. Apply by submitting your abstract to the session during the abstract window each year.
