At GC&E, students and postdoctoral scholars take part in an immersive journey thoughtfully designed to engage them in the world of green chemistry &emdash; fostering connections, expanding knowledge, and inspiring a commitment to sustainable practices.

Through these curated events, we aim to provide students with hands-on learning, networking and career-building opportunities, and a deeper understanding of the practical applications of green chemistry.

To enhance convenience and accessibility, we have organized lower-cost accommodations at a local university in San Antonio. There will be shuttles provided to and from the conference venue from the provided student housing.

Lower-Cost Housing for Students

ACS GCI will identify offsite, lower-cost accommodations for student (18+) attendees. Details will be announced in early 2027.

Giving Back to the Community

At the GC&E Service Project, students collaboratively apply green chemistry principles to make a tangible, positive impact on the local community, emphasizing responsibility and practical sustainability. Check back for details.

Welcome Reception

An opportunity to network before the conference officially starts, this evening reception provides an informal atmosphere for students and green chemistry leaders to connect.

Student & Postdoc Workshop

The GC&E Student Workshop provides a deep dive into a topic that builds sustainable skills, interactive activities, and networking opportunities. More details will be shared in early 2027.

GC&E Poster Competition

Student poster presenters can compete in the GC&E Poster Competition for a chance to win a prize.

Volunteer at the Conference

June 7-10

Volunteers are needed to support the conference. Volunteer for 4 hours and get access to the general conference proceedings for the whole day. Look for details in early 2027.
