About ACS Green Chemistry Institute

The American Chemical Society Green Chemistry Institute (ACS GCI) is dedicated to advancing the adoption of green chemistry and engineering principles across academia, industry, and government to achieve a sustainable future. Through education, research, and collaboration, ACS GCI empowers scientists and engineers to design products and processes that reduce or eliminate hazardous substances, conserve resources, and minimize environmental impact. The Institute leads initiatives that connect stakeholders worldwide, develops tools and training to integrate sustainability into chemical education, and fosters innovation that aligns economic growth with environmental responsibility. By championing safer, more efficient, and more sustainable chemistry, ACS GCI is helping to transform the chemical enterprise for the benefit of people and the planet.
