Global Green Chemistry & Engineering: A Tool for Reducing Health and Well-Being Inequalities

Green Chemistry and Green Engineering strive to enhance physical and mental well-being. However, significant disparities persist in the distribution of economic opportunities, access to health, and well-being, as well as environmental challenges, particularly entrenching inequalities between industrialized nations and those in the process of industrialization. This highlights the urgent need for international collaboration and the sharing of knowledge amongst different actors from industry, academia, non-governmental organizations,  governmental institutions, and regulators to achieve a more sustainable planet through the lens of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This symposium aims to spotlight innovative approaches and solutions inspired by Green Chemistry and Green Engineering to address pressing international issues related to sustainable design, climate change, or pollution prevention, with a particular emphasis on positively contributing to human health and well-being from both physical and mental perspectives. We invite researchers and entrepreneurs with groundbreaking and disruptive ideas, representatives from the public and private sectors with relevant expertise, and anyone related to the outlined topic to submit abstracts.

This event is designed to be inclusive, encouraging participation from underrepresented communities and locations to ensure diverse voices contribute to the dialogue.
