GC&E Fridays
GC&E Fridays is a fully virtual experience that serves as a prelude to the GC&E. Both in-person and virtual registration grants all access to live pre-conference webinars where top researchers present groundbreaking advances in green and sustainable chemistry. These interactive sessions not only offer valuable insights into sustainable science but also build anticipation and excitement for the main conference.

    Virtual attendees will have a chance to present posters in this GC&E Friday event. Posters in this session can be relevant to any topic in green chemistry and engineering.

West Atlanta Watershed (WAWA) Service Project

9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The Student Experience commences on June 1st with a Service Project, demonstrating the conference’s dedication to community engagement. Students collaboratively apply green chemistry principles to make a tangible, positive impact on the local community, emphasizing responsibility and practical sustainability. The Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference (GC&E) is excited to partner with the West Side Watershed Alliance (WaWa) for a day of environmental stewardship, education, and community engagement. This collaborative effort unites professionals, graduate students, and undergraduates in the field of green chemistry and engineering with WaWa, aligning with their mission to improve the quality of life within the West Atlanta Watershed through environmental preservation and community empowerment.

Student Networking Reception (Off-Site)

5 – 6:30 p.m.

Students are invited to the Student Networking Reception—an informal gathering providing a relaxed atmosphere for students to connect. Icebreaker activities and networking games facilitate interactions, allowing students to share experiences, aspirations, and insights. This event lays the foundation for lasting connections within the green chemistry community.
